Chris is known for his roles as "Sam Taylor" in the period-piece murder thriller END OF THE ROPE, "Sean Leibold" in EL CAMINO, "Charlie Bowdre" in THE KID, & many others.

One unique experience came as "Pastor Garrett Moore" in Netflix's GODLESS, where Writer/Director Scott Frank entrusted Chris with the unscripted "Tis A Fearful Thing" poem in the finale, eliciting powerful emotion from the cast as they heard it for the first time on-camera.

Chris has held over 200 other roles in films, TV, & commercials, a few of which are showcased here in his reels. His empathetic nature has not only drawn him to unique & complex characters, but earned him frequent comparisons to Robin Williams' dramatic film work.

Chris has received recognition for the films he's directed, winning 7 awards for films helmed, & he was also honored by his hometown Kansas City with their first Emerging Filmmaker Award that the KC Film Fest ever awarded.

Directing has also enhanced my craft as an actor, greatly sharpening my communication with my Directors & DPs, & giving me even more appreciation for what the crew needs to work most effectively as well.

Chris resigned his position as an editor to begin his acting career, but the editing refused to stop there!

Leaning on experience accrued in Producing, Directing, & Casting, he combined those perspectives to cut his own acting reel. That showcase led to more bookings, but also to friends approaching him for theirs!

Eventually he founded Breakthrough Reels, & over the past decade & a half Chris has built "BTR" all the way up to executing over 3,000 unique clip & reel edits for over 500 actors to date.
